Paper Handling Equipment (PHE) has been a leading name in the industry for more than 30 years, and is a trusted specialist when it comes to helping printers ensure a perfect finish. The wholly Australian owned and operated business understands the needs of print service providers in Australia and the south pacific regions and, just as importantly, print finishing is their sole focus.“It’s what we do and what we know,” says Rick Sambrooks, Managing Director of PHE, “and our ability to help printers complete their work with perfect presentation is why we’ve been around so long.”PHE brings a wide range of solutions to the local market, including some of the biggest names in print finishing worldwide - Ausjetech (Dumor), iEcho, Nagel, Hohner, Superfax, Rhin’O’Tuff, GrafCut & Rynak. “These brands allow us to provide the printing market with a comprehensive range of equipment to suit a variety of needs, applications, and budgets,” Sambrooks explains. “Whether it’s stapling, folding, multi-cut card cutter finishing, booklet making, jogging, flatbed finishing, binding, creasing, perforating, perfect binding, celloglazing, paper banding, storage…or so much more. If it’s finishing you’re looking for, we have the solution.”Some new products recently added to the PHE range include, iEcho flatbed cutters, Ausjetech high production booklet makers and high production crease fold machines, Grafcut high production European guillotines, and Rynak digital perfect binders.Grafcut G73H guillotine “iEcho flatbed cutters are not new technology in themselves, but we are now able to provide smaller and more affordable options for businesses," Sambrooks says."In the past, machines for flatbed cutting, creasing, kiss cutting and perforating, were large machines that required a huge amount of space and massive workload to justify the cost. Now, with the iEcho range, this technology is available in a size that enables your business to take on all the work in house.”This new range can handle printed pieces up to 750 x 530mm in size and up to 6mm thick, and materials from digital paper, to self-adhesive vinyl, KT board, plastic sheet, corrugated plastic, PP Paper, Reflective material, ABS board, Foam board, grey Board, magnetic stickers – in fact, Sambrooks says the range is limited only by your imagination.“This technology eliminates the need for dies and gives the power back to designers and their creative minds. Whatever your designer can imagine the iEcho can cut, kiss cut, crease, or perforate. “So, it removes the additional cost of the die which the customer had to absorb on top of the printing and finishing, and the time and risk involved if the customer decides to change their designs, or if they have many different designs. ‘With the iEcho, there’s no need to send out work – simply create your design and the machine will do the rest. The cut, kiss cut and crease pattern is created using typical in-house design packages, and the file sent directly to the iEcho flatbed cutter. “If the customer is not happy with the size or shape of the sample, no worries – just change the design and resubmit the file to the iEcho. It’s quick, easy and cost-effective,” Sambrooks points out. While PHE has for many years concentrated on the small to medium Print Finishing market, the company is now moving into the larger production market for finishing in collaboration with Ausjetech.“With a new range of crease/fold, booklet making and multi-cut production machines, PHE is here to help businesses grow,” Sambrooks says, pointing to the deep pile feeding and higher-speed machines that will allow work to be completed in one pass and with longer runs. The new Ausjetech DCF33T booklet maker“The NEW Ausjetech DCF33T Booklet maker does all the work for you,” Sambrooks says. “With complete...
